About Charity Science Health:
Charity Science Health was launched with the ambition of being the first direct-poverty charity started by EAs to become GiveWell-recommended. A year into the project we have received two GiveWell incubation grants and have helped over 100,000 new parents and their infants. The plan for the next two years is to run a high-quality RCT and, depending on the results, apply for GiveWell top charity status.
The Program Officer of Charity Science Health (CSH) is an extremely important role with very high potential for impact. Currently there are two main skills sets that we require for this position: measurement & evaluation, and management. The main task would be to help CSH improve their M&E system and help CSH prepare to run an RCT on their program in the near future. Other tasks that could be asked are to find new effective interventions that could be easily combined with CSH’s current operations, managing partner relationships, and helping apply for grants. CSH is a new charity and the success of their programs will heavily depend on this candidate.
